Two Films in the last weekend.
Last weekend i had the oppurtunity to see 2 films in the Waves Multiplex. The tickets were free of cost to us since my Sardar roomie(he is also our companys Entertainment committe head) is the close friend of the theatre manager. The first film was
i-Robot
Folks who have already seen Terminator 1 and 2 refrain from seeing this film. Since the story is much the same. The film starts with 2035 AD in Los Angeles where Robots replaces the PC's of homes. There is a US company which is a monopoly(like Microsoft) which makes the Robots. There is a Good robot created by humans which helps the mankind and there are bad ones created by a Virus in the company. Do you need still to explain the story..... The only notable feature of the film is Will Smith, the hero of the film and the Good Robots accent(Which resembled that of a voice in National Geographic series) .

Dhoom
Abhishek bachan is a cool dude police officer who is assigned a task to catch hold of the theives headed by John Abraham using high speed bikes. How he chases with the help of Uday(another hero) working as a bike mechanic and catches them is the story. Though the story can be written in a bit of paper, the film moves jet fast. Some unbelievable aspects of the film are a Rain sequence of Rimii sen(Hungama heroine), Bikes travelling at 350 Km/hr in Mumbai roads just by an activation Nitrogen Oxide attachment, Esha Deol(i dont know what her role was in this film except for some dare bare act). But still not a bad film to watch.

Switchover to Hindustan Times

After a long time relationship with the Times Of India/TOI(the so called No.1 paper in India) i have shifted to Hindustan Times. Now all Rapes in the city i read in a single column in HT somewhere in 3 or 4th page(that section is marked as "This city is no more safe to Women") whereas in TOI that is the main news and is followed up in all the pages till you reach the business /sports section.

Will be Missing "Delhi times" much during the Winter season at Delhi, because it used to be really HOT during that period, even a slight drop in temperature will have immediate effect in Delhi Times(shortly DT), Now DT has been replaced by HT City which can be stated as a less vulgar counterpart with no Party Photos in the third page with Mini skirt girls and Noodle strap Aunties posing with Whisky and Fake Laughters.

With respect to the coverage of News HT i would say more appealing to the South Indian masses whereas TOI is a typical Delhite News paper with lots of Junkies and grandiloquent facts.

Laugh a' lympics

1 Crore population not a single gold medal in Olympics, great Indians and we keep forwarding mails that Indians found 0, -1 etc.. Think of UAE even they have got 1 gold and are way above Indians, what resource they have in their land for sports and the weather is too horrible for any sports.

When Olympics torch was taken by Bipasha basu and Aishwary rai itself we came to know the sordid state of Indian sports (excludes Cricket). Tendulkar had to recommend to keep Dhanraj Pillai in the Hockey team and all knew that Sunil Dutt(ex-Hindi Cine Hero) is our sports minister. So Cinema and cricket forms the basic sport for Indians.

How many times we lose the cricket match still we want to watch the same and those guys in turn go towards the Mafia to make quick money to sell the nation. Better India can close all other Sports clubs and Federations and concentrate only on Cricket. Why to send people to Olympics who are not World class or Unfit and ruin our country's name.

But whenever it comes to PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED olympics we remain unbeaten and get as many gold as possible, dont the able ones learn something from them???? Im having a doubt whether the normal ones(who went to the main olympics) are participating in the olympics for the Physically challenged.

IM's Blocked

With deep condolence i wanted to convey that all IM's( Yahoo and MSN Messengers ) have been blocked in my organization as a part of security beef up. So seriously started looking for a new job with IM access from now on. We have decided to demonstrate against the company asking either to provide us work or provide the IM access. Hope soon they will oblige to provide IM access since the former we know is not possible.

The planned city of Chandigarh

Since it was a holiday for my classes too, i didnt want to waste time sitting at my home watching the I-Day celebrations. So with my newly purchased car i wanted to go for a long drive so that it is eligible for the first service, the place chosen was Chandigarh. We started by 4:00 AM in the Sunday morning and was caught a couple of times for Vehicle verification(since it was I-day) in Delhi.

Intro
Chandigarh is nearly 250 KM from Delhi and the road can be described in Lallu's words "As smooth as Hema Malini's cheek" since it is NH1. Me and my one more friend took the steering in turns, in total we were four of us all belonging to Cooumpatti(chennai) and working in the same org. Chandigarh is the well planned city in India which was designed by the famous French Architect Le Corbuiser, This city was created since the states of Punjab and Haryana needed a common capital city after their division.

Sukhna lake
The first place we entered was the Sukhna Lake which is at Sector1, Entire chandigarh city is logically divided into Sectors(numbering around 43) with lush green broad roads and parks around. Sukhna lake is an artificial lake created with the help of an artificial Dam built across a seasonal stream. We took a Pedal boat ride on the lake for 1/2 hour or so. The lake has a jogging stretch along its borders for around 2 KM we strolled over there too. It was a great relaxation for us under a banyan tree there where we slept for around 1 hour after a strenous drive.

HipnHop Bus (Govt of chandigarh undertaking)
Just at the entrance of the lake there was a double decker bus without a roof at the top floor which takes you around Chandigarh for mere Rs.25 and it will halt for 2 minutes at important places of visit, it is called HIP'n HOP bus with Stop board in its name exists around the places of visit. Though we went by my car, we decided to take the bus because we will keep track of the route to important places so that we dont spend time to locate them and it really helped that way. Some places covered by the bus are Sukhna lake, Rock garden, Rose garden, Sector 17 market, Capitol building(secretariat), Punjab University campus(here the bus stopped for 10 min so we strolled around it too) and the entire institutional area called Vigyan path(we noted only the Girls colleges names)

Sector 17&22
Our next stop was the sector 17 market which is much Hyped about but that we found was no where near the Atta Market of Noida. But it is supposed to be a good hang out place since at the time we were to that market it was so Hot and Humid only everyone will think only to Hang in.
Pinjore Garden
Next after a quick lunch in a Vaishno dhaba in sector 22 we proceeded to Pinjore Gardens which is 20 KM from the city in the Chandigarh-Shimla highway. It is a garden built in Moghul style with seven stages of garden. Again after a 1 hour of sleep in the shades we went to explore the garden, we found some really good looking chicks over there ;) and captured in our lens too. So you can understand of our purpose of the visit there. Just as we were about to leave the garden the fountains there started and it was again a visual treat we had there.

Rock Garden
We didnt want to enter the Rose garden as we came to know that it is not the right season for that but we see that from outside while in HipnHop tour, so we proceeded towards Rock Garden. Rock Garden is a artistical wonder you can say created with waste materials which varied right from broken pots, sanitary wares to fuse plugs. It is located in the sector 1. The concept is totally novell and kudos to the person for creating that. It had a couple of Aritifical Falls, Huge Rock Walls bordering, small puppets made out of wastes etc.. and a big Amphi Theatre where I-day celebrations were going on when we were there.

Some of the places missed by us due to lack of time are Kashauli( a hill station near Bougenvilla garden and the Chandigarh Zoo.

So from Rock gardens we started our trip back to Delhi, the most sad part is that we lost our way once we entered Delhi(Delhi should have a Hip'nHop service as in Chandigarh!!!!) and after a couple of error detection and error correction we made it back to our place by 1:30 AM. So awaiting for the snaps to get ready.

Vasool Raja MBBS-The controversy again!!

Kamals new venture Vasool Raja MBBS(Replica of MunnaBhai MBBS) is getting into rough winds again because of the name, I hope kamal has some problems in naming right from DevarMagan, Virumandi and now Vasool Raja MBBS. The doctors in Tamil Nadu are against using that name since it benights their proffession and displays as a money snatcher.

I couldnt control my laughter when the doctors in Tamil Nadu have argued that "MUnna Bhai"means Small Brother( which they have literally translated as it is) and so nothing wrong with that name which was used in the Hindi version starring Sanjay Dutt. But entire rest of India knows that if you call someone by name BHAI(in Tapori Hindi) it means he is an Underworld Don or Mafia. Vasool Raja in Tamil means Money Extorter, it seems suddenly some kind of guilty feeling has pricked the doctors since the name blatantly reveals what they are up to these days, also with the supreme court authorising their killings.

Another view can be that it can be a way of advertising by Kamal himself since none of his films were crowd pullers these days, so atleast some controversy to the films attract crowds. Since the entire Tamil population shifted their minds towards films of Dhanush or Vikram(apart from Shaqila!! which is evergreen) these days, he may want them back to see his films.

Anyway best of luck to Kamal for his film to make enough Vasool.

Another French War begins(Une autre le guerre de Francais)

This weekend my next semesters of French classes begun, now the Alliance Premises changed to a bigger and more peaceful one in Lodhi Estate to that of the previous location. Now Alliance look fertile both inside and outside the class. There were totally new faces, since i 'm the only person from the last batch who had opted the particular timings.

One unique person i met in my class was a guy working in HCL BPO as a Business Development manager, i was quite perplexed when he said his qualification during the introduction ceremony. He did his MBBS from Punjab and practiced medicine for 2 years then somehow changed his mind and did his MBA from FMS delhi. Now he is working for HCL as a BDM in Pharma products and has become a good friend of mine, since he also belongs to NOIDA . So Mr. Cerebral Shangarila( http://cerebralshangrila.blogspot.com) shall not feel anything guilty in doing his MBA.....

This time my lecturer is a tough lot than my previous semester as she only likes performing people(so you may get it that im not going to be there in that list). She is pursuer of Ph.d(French) even postponed having a child for the same, so you can think the rest.... I dont know which god does French people worship because that god only has to help me to clear this semester.
