Manjunathan - kiss of death

One of the Manager at IOC had to kick the bucket for trying wrong management practices in
UP,India . This person hailing for B'lore and an alumni of IIM Lucknow was killed by goons
when he tried to seal a petrol bunk, who were mixing adulterants to the petrol. Though it
is like another Dubey story(another idiot educated from IIT, killed by Road Mafia in Bihar).

Many people say as if he is the avatar of Mahatma..what he did is utter stupidity. If
you had to seal the petrol bunk, you should have consulted seniors on this or who
has managing the place before. If their seniors had instructed him to seal it means they have committed a murder(may be to avenge some internal issues, because i live in IOCL aptmts i know much abt its employees and how ethical they are). No one would advice doing that.
If Manjunath was apprised of the circumstances by his colleagues not to do so but still he went ahead and put a seal on the bunk, then it means he lacked People management and he was out of tactics. YOu have to see which place you are in before attacking, what kind of backup is there for you before taking such step.

My cousin a BSC grad from chennai who works in the loan collections dept of a bank in Delhi..I liked his tactics in going to sensitive places in Haryana/Madhya pradesh to get the money from the debtors(it is an uphill task, risking your life). He used to go the village sarpanch first make him in friendly terms and then go the debtors house to collect the amount or the Sarpanch calls the guy and asks him to meet him under the banyan tree . So the debtor is forced to pay or atleast render proper courtesy while speaking to him.

Why can't an IIM educated guy find a good way like this???

Is election required for BIHAR?

Being Tuesday..the counting of votes had begin after the election in Bihar, now NDA(BJP+) is leading in all the constituencies. I agree that Lalu might be overthrown..but what can this new government do with the state.

Can the new government get rid of all those hindering the development of the state within their 5 year tenure? I dont think so. Lalu and his conmen will never allow a smooth functioning of any government.

Blindly following democracy should be avoided in this state, article 356 has to implemented and the negative forces needs to be plucked out and Army has to stay for atleast for 2-3 months over there. Already we Indians have cultivated the bad habit of negotiating with terrorists/PWG showing our impotency towards them. Now Bihar is a state full of Maoists and has ISI intrusion in the Nepal border. Whoever forms the new government can they tackle all these?

An IIT engineer was killed just because he bought out a scam in the golden quadrilateral project in Bihar. This is such a state where nothing useful can be done. So the new government in its part will be in the actual job of dwindling the central government funds allocated to the state(Normal to any politcal party in India. Make hay while the shines).

Not even God can save Bihar.

Autobiography of Lee IACOCCA.
I have been busy reading the autobiography of IACOCCA..though not even reached the quarter mark of the book. His life seems quite interesting, after serving FORD for 32 years and was a president for FORD for 8 years..he was yet sacked. How he overcame the setback and joined Chrysler, brough it back from troubled waters is what the book is all about.
He had mentioned in his book that inspite of doing Industrial Engineering and Masters(Plastics) from Princeton..He says that the elective of Pshycology was more helpful in his career in dealing with the nuts(people) than the actual nuts and bolts of Ford.
His full name is actually LIDO ANTHONY IACOCCA, but he is known more as Lee IACOCCA. The change of LIDO to LEE was actually marketing strategy to sell in North part of America so that he can mask his Italian originity.
This one was picked from the web on how to remember the name of IACOCCA.
I Am Chairman Of Chrysler Corporation Always.

My short trip to chennai.

Last week i was in chennai to attend my close friend's marriage. He was my school classmate, my college mate and also my room mate during college.

I was the senior mappillai thozan(ie Bridegrooms friend) and was given in charge of the Gift Collections(Treasury). Though the marriage was pretty dull when compared North Indian marriages..where most of time is spent for celebrations and masthi than under the Smoke of the homam. Bride was a sweet girl from Tutucorin, dont know how she was trapped for this guy.

We were four of us in college days including the groom. We decided to have reunion on this marriage occasion. One came from Mumbai and other from US(after fighting with the manager). All the three days we decided to enjoy, we saw Tamil film(Majaa) in theatre shouting madly(as we did in college) and making pass at chics that too in Sathyam theatre.

Now that one wicket is down our talks were revolving mostly around marriage(whether to marry or not to). Though the latter had many takers. Each one said how they avoided invitations from prospective matches. One of them had the girl's family coming to his house to see him and propose for marriage, which generally happens the reverse. Unfortunately it was during this marriage i had been targeted as match for a Mega-Serial cum Cine actress(she being a family friend for the groom). Somehow I put an end to those talks before it goes around, that would be ideal instead of solving things in family court after doing such a marriage.

Dullest Diwali ever encountered

This Diwali was the most sombre i have ever come across. I hope everyone was inside their home for the sake of the recent bomb blasts and watching TV. To my desperation all my relatives were out of town which denied access usual dose of the sweets&savouries.

No notable Diwali releases as well both in Hindi and Tamil.
