Shifting to a new building

My corpn had so much money that they are getting a new building nearby. We have been asked to shifted to the new building. Everyone who was supposed to shift were given an option for the preferred seat(based on vaasthu..but i thought i was in an MNC) like East facing or West facing or North East facing etc..... seats. I asked them to allot me a seat facing whichever direction they want but not WORK FACING.

Tension in Borders

Recently i saw an article in one of the tamil Daily that Police force has been beefed up in the borders. I thought it must be somewhere in Kashmir, but to my surprise it was a border conflict between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Tamil Nadu has been doing some Tourism(another surprise...tourism and Tamilnadu???) related work in Oganekkal which Karnataka claimed it to be their land and were fighting for removing the encroachment.
These two states are really becoming the pain for the country right from cauvery issue and now border issue. Down the line i think Police force will be replaced with Army force with battalions @ the borders of TN and KA. Karnataka already has a bad repuatation of fighting with Maharastra and Andhra in a similar kind of issue. During the British time entire south India was called Carnataka may be Kannadiga's want history to be repeated.

My Ipod

I had purchased an IPOD recently , first i had a feeling how am i going to load the songs into it as i dont carry a laptop(i didnt avail the one given @ office....otherwise they will ask me to work wherever im). Fortunately my office PC had the USB port activated and so i used(misused) it for loading purpose. One good thing about IPod is that it gets charged when you connect it to the USB port..You dont need a seperate charger as in the case of cell phones(Cell companies to think about this). Out of 4 GB my IPoD stores an entire ISO image of two Operating Systems(Linux and Win2k3) and some english Novels and only 1 GB is so far allocated for the songs. so that is the other advantage i get out of it.

Everyone says about the superior sound quality of IPOD and so on...for me it more than the sound the other features were found to be very useful.

ABN Amro outsourcing..

Recently it was a greatly discussed outsourcing deal ever had in India. The Netherlands based ABN amro outsourced its IT division to nearly 4 companies(Infosys, TCS, IBM and Accenture). Recently saw a joke with respect to this on my intranet... and here it goes

Have u tried to figure out why Wipro did not figure in the list of
companies to whom ABN Amro has outsourced work????
Highly placed sources have come out with the reason.....

A few days before the decision was being made, the CEO of ABN Amro
called the Business Development Managers of all the companies to talk to
them. It so happened that he called the BDM of Wipro also. The
conversation went as below.....
CEO: Hi, I am calling from ABN Amro.......
Wipro BDM: [ Without allowing the CEO to tell anything more] I already
have your credit card. I have taken my home loan as well as my vehicle
loan from your bank. I do not need anything more. Thank you for calling
and please do not disturb me again!!!! [ Bangs the receiver back on the
telephone]

Chennai sucks

As usual chennai is not impressive, same Bad roads, same excessive watching of Mega serials, culturally confused people,ridiculous Tamil films..there has not been a single change for the past one year except for a new Party(by Actor Vijayakanth). Im really feeling Delhisick now(missing my daily dose of Tandoori roti very badly).

Old Mahabalipuram road has been converted to IT corridor(without proper Road/Rail connectivity) and all Lala companies have set their paan shop there. Heard BMW is also opening a shop...already the money given by Hyundai and Ford for infrastructure development have been eaten by both the dravidian crocodiles(DMK and ADMK).

Watched all the stupid tamil movies to clear my arrears there has been no change in their content. One thing appreciable during this visit was the weather, it was a bit wet resembled that of Kerala.

In Chennai now...


Came to chennai.for a 2 week vacation to spend time at home and disturb my parents. I know it is a mistake but still had to commit it.

Tabla exam cleared....

After returning from UK, i got a call from my co tablite stating that my mark sheets have come. So i went to their house to collect it, thinking that why the institution is wasting money for sending marksheets for failures...But to my astonishment i found that i had cleared the exams in 1st class,that confirms my examiner was quite sure in a state of trance or has hearing problems.

Great insult to Tabladom...
